📈Student loans and non-repayable grants
You may be eligible for government financial assistance in the form of loans and grants. . Learn more about government loans and grants.
💳 Student lines of credit
If you don’t qualify for a government loan, or you require further funding, many private institutions and banks offer low-interest student lines of credit. A line of credit gives you access to an agreed-upon amount of money, which can be withdrawn as needed. Interest is paid only on the money you withdraw.
💰Canada Learning Bond (CLB in Canada)
The Canada Learning Bond (CLB) is money that the Government adds to a Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) for children from low-income families. If you don’t have a bond, you may still qualify for the government contribution portion should you meet the eligibility requirements. Learn more about the Canada Learning Bond (CLB).
🏢 Organizational Sponsorship/Third Party Providers
Third party providers are mainly institutions such as insurance providers such as Manual Life (in Canada), social services such as provincial worker compensation or federal institutions such as Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC in Canada) Veterans Affairs (VA in the USA). These institutions can provide funding assistance for individuals undergoing vocational rehabilitation; circumstances which may qualify are when a person can no longer continue employment within their career field, this may include but is not limited to a refocusing within the same field, certifications for experience from past work and in some cases a complete shift into a new career field.
Other third party providers could include current employer funding, this includes private and public sector employers.
